Default Looking for Gloss Black (Panther Black, Brilliant Black) Audi V8 1990-1994

I had one of these Audi V8's for years. I picked my V8 up from the repair shop (I had a distributor fixed & my ac recharged) and on the way home, got in an accident. As a result, I was left with Quarter Panel damage. Now the car will need some serious body work to fix it up, and have it looking beautiful again.

I am looking for a V8 regardless of mileage, interior color, condition, or location (must be within US). Does not have to be running either.

I am only interested if the body is perfectly Straight (no body damage) & is black. I have everything I need for my current car to be fixed except for the body damage.

I am planning on swapping my 2-tone interior (Canada only black/grey), custom alcantara headliner (charcoal grey), engine, transmission, and suspension over.

I'd prefer one with low miles, the less work I have to redo for my Show Quality Car, the better, but high mileage is not a show-stopper. I am only interested in this specific model of Audi & color. Thank You for your time. Please pass this as along!

All prices & conditions are considered, as long as Conditions above are met.

Attached to this ad is my old car before the accident.

Sorry to hear of the accident, hope you are well.

Iv'e seen pictures of the tu-tone interior and have always loved it. Is your car truly not repairable? Sounds like the 1/4 panel would need to be replaced and that would mean getting a used 1/4 and using that for the repair, along with other damaged parts. Did the car take a hit in the rear suspension also?

Well my goal is to swap everything from the one that got in the accident to another one. I think it will cost me less money than cutting up another 1/4 panel and pasting it onto my current car.

Attached is some photos of the 1/4 panel damage. If you know someone that can fix this car that got in a wreck without replacing the 1/4 panel and the shop is high quality and that wont cost me a fortune then I'm all for fixing my current car.

I'm not as concerned with the fender, bumpers or doors but the 1/4 panel damage just makes it expensive to repair.

I agree now. I'd look for another car, but, Right now it's a parts car, if you had another parts car you could rebuild yours. But yours has to be low miles and engine and trany have to be good. You know your cars mechanical's the other V8 you buy in an unknown. You could swap out the front end parts and the doors. The 1/4 would have to be replaced by a body shop. Economically this is a lose lose situation. You are doing this for love.

Wow ..... that's a very clean car and what i'm shooting for with my recently acquired 90 V8. have a Black w/Grey interior and just got it running after it had been sitting for several years. Needs a number of issues addressed and slowly working to resolve them and get it back on the road.

I would suggest keeping your options open for a replacement. Toughest hurdle might be locating one in the condition you prefer. To compound things, their numbers (Black V8's) have steadily dwindled over the years. It's not unusual to find them for sale in less than stellar (neglected) condition, or even worse, listed for parts in the salvage yards.

Sorry for your misfortune.

Idealy I just want another car that is the same color so I can transfer the entire interior and exterior to another car that has a good shell. Then i will paint it. I am not attached to this one but it would be nice to keep it on the road. I am looking for the same color V8 so I can just swap all the parts and interior over to the "new" one. My end goal is to avoid as much body work as I can.

Thx. I worked very hard on making it perfect. Fresh paint job, entire new brake system, from master cylinder to UFO rotors, and rear drilled rotors with the S8 brembo brake upgrade kit. Entire brake lines and proportion valves, suspension has koni sport package with all new upper and lower control arms, sway bar bushings, strut tower bushings, new inner and outer tie rod ends, brand new panit job full body, new turn signals, grille, fog light assembly's, gaskets around the headlights, new tint all around, new window regulators, new cluster, coolant expansion tank, new radiator, compressor, condenser, evap/dryer, fresh air blower motor, heater core, working r12 ac, distributors, valve cover gasket, head gaskets, upper and lower oil pan gaskets, power steering rack, power steering hoses, tensioner on accessory belt, timing belt, water pump, pulleys, timing cover gaskets, sunroof gasket, motor, charcoal grey alcantera headliner complete with matching d-pillar, sunroof control cover and sun visors, the tu-tone grey black door panels and interior, I replaced soo many parts with new parts from my Audi dealer I am a technician at. Also from the people I know that had new parts. I tried to replace as much as I could with new parts as I was able to get them. I also have a crap load of parts in my basement from previous ones I have parted out to make this entire rebuilt V8 to like new condition. Needless to say I have about 15k in parts invested in this car and I want to make use of them again.

Yeah, That is the unfortunate truth to it too. I am open to anyone willing to keep and eye out for another for me or have one they are willing to part with a V8. Most of the Yards wont let you buy a shell either and that is the worst part about it. I have found some and asked to buy whatever is left and pay them $100 more than they car get for the scrap once it is ready for the crusher and they wont sell it. Which is super frustrating to me.

Can you explain or show the rear S8 brake upgrade. I'd be interested in how and what you did.

Thanks, Bob
