Low rpm misfiring ( or missing?) Can an Ignition module just be half dead?
So Head gasket job is done.
Car started with some issue, but it did.
Thing is now is running like crap, either starting from cold ( very low rpms, noticeable misfiring at low rpm`s....at high rpm`s, it seems ( just seems ) to be doing fairly well).
But is just starting from standstill, some spark is just not getting there. Have changed and tried 2 diferent new sets of sparkpugs, same thing. All timing marks are aligned as they should. Sparkplugs cables prestty new ( 5 years old), no codes, no vaccum leaks at all.
Only thing is that: mixture has not been touched yet : Before the head went, it started like a champ, specially in cold, rock solid idle, ISV working, etc...so for now we wouldn´t want to mess ( yet) with mixture. And because, it just so evident that is a park missing.
One other thing: Head went because the heater valve exploded, basically. Mechanic said that there was collant all over the place, including the ignition module.....I am trying to get one from one of my friends to test ( probably tomorrow), but thing is, can an Ignition Module be bad only at certain circumstances?
From my experience, either they are good or bad, and car would not start if it was bad......but never know with these cars from hell!!!!
What do you think? Could that be it? I ma just so anxious to get the car back!!
Thanks
