Evening folks! Hope everyone had a good holiday season.

Two weeks ago a deer decided to play chicken with my Audi Allroad resulting in a totalled Audi. While searching for a replacement I came across 2 1988 Audi 5000 quattros and they really got me interested in what can be done with the Audi 5 cyl. From the little bit of research that I have been able to do during this busy season I am pretty sure that both of these cars are 20v, mechanical injection cars with lots of potential for power ( would like to see the 350 - 400 mark )

But wondering what your thoughts are on both the engine and car as you folks have been playing with them for a lot longer than I have. I would still consider buying the car if the engine can be tuned and then pulled out for a different platform, but would like to drive it the way it is for a while before taking that step.

Sorry for the lack of knowledge and hope you can shed some light on things before I go ahead and buy one of them.
