Reference Sensor Replacement

Okay guys, I've been able to pinpoint the no-start problem on my '89 200 to the reference sensor.

I've just ordered the part and will be fixing it soon. Where is the sensor located? Is it pretty easy to change out?

Any help would be appreciated.

Engine speed or crank poition sensors?

They are mounted together in the bell housing area on the driver's side. Both are mounted on a mounting place that is bolted in.

I think mine may have failed too.

Did you meter them out? Mine seem to meter OK but I still suspect them.

IF you get a no start, (warm start ) .....

pour cold water on the sensors and if the car starts you know for sure thats the prob.
