Still not starting... any ideas?... please
OK guys... thinkg hat time...
Starter was turning slowly, then sometimes not at all. Car would occasionally fire but then stall. After stalling the car woulod not start. I cranked the motor a bit much and believe that I fried my starter. So... new starter...
Nope. Still turning slowly. Battery is new and has a full charge. Seeing 12.8V at the starter high current terminals dropping to 10.5 when the solenoid fires. I tried running jumper cables from the battery directly to the terminals and ingition switch or manual jumper firing the starter. No dice...
So... since the car would start intermittently previously and now will not I am suspecting the problem lies elsewhere but remains electrical.
I have cleaned every terminal I can find under the hood.
Next thing I am going to look at is that battery cable splice, but it does not seem likely to be the problem source.
Ideas please? Pretty please with a wrench on top...

Also, can you run a resistance check from neg bat terminal to engine block...
Then , resistance check from Pos batt terminal to jumping post. That will check reistance/integrity of Pos cable.

You want to make sure it's just the sensor that's bad...and not something else causing zero bar.
I had a '90 200 out here once with similar issues. The guy thought it was just a bad sensor reading zero bar....so he kept cranking and cranking until he heard the connecting rod go "BRIINKKK". His oil pump seized. As a result, dead motor.
Otherwise, if you think this is a long shot...I think you're right in assuming it's still electrical. Like the others listed, I would re-check some of that ground terminal wiring and make sure that positive cable is getting the charge properly.
