V8 Climate Control
I have a 1990 V8Q and am wondering if climate control head unit can be replaced with the newer style 92+ head unit. Has anyone attempted this? What's involved?

No it cant.
Harness, head, and controller are all different. Besides the early unit has self diagnostics including a built in voltage readout.....very handy for troubleshooting.
