welded wiring harness points
I'm trying to figure out what a cirle with 18 inside means with respect to the wiring diagram for a 1993 V8. It says it is in the welded wiring harness points in the dash. Any explanation of what means would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: welded wiring harness points
Isn't that usually where there are a bunch of grounds bundled together with one largish ground? Usually brown wires?

Re: welded wiring harness points
That's what I would have thought but Audi has about 100 "things" that are designate as welded wiring points and it looks to me like some of them should be positive voltage. Some of them are designated as plus connections. Some are designated as grounds and the one I am interested doesn't have a plus or ground designation. I don't really know.

Re: welded wiring harness points
What page? What circuit line?

Re: welded wiring harness points
It's circuit track 303 on page 89-01 page 35. Page is about horns and brake lights. Looks like a bunch of red/black wires come from somewhere.

maybe start with whats going on? In laymans terms :-)

Ok......
...wires come from the coastal connector, posision 16 under the center colume, & posision's 17-20 in the pass side footwell.
You'r looking for a White Tape covered harness. |
Re: welded wiring harness points
OK, I think the 18 in a circle indicates that all those R/Bk wires are bunched into one, possibly in some sort of connector.
On page 7 of the index of connectors, you're referred to section 97-80 for exact locations of the connectors. There's several pages there of drawings with connection locations "indicated". |
