Default The 5000 CS Quattro is a quattro turbo. 5000 S Quattro is normally aspirated.

Basically: CS = Turbo. S = N/A. Therefore, when ordering, you'll give either 5000 CS Quattro or 5000QT. Depends on the part vendor, I suppose.

Default I believe you're correct. 88 started the 'S' quattro designation.

But for simplicity, parts vendors prolly list all the iterations of 5000's up until 88.

The non turbo quattro 5ks were 87-88 only. First generation NF motor 2.3 lit 130HP? with injectors in the head as opposed to the later non turbo motor from the 100's. Parts for the non turbo cars are the same as the turbo quattro cars sept for some motor parts.
& the trannys were 4:11.1 not 3:89 as in the turbo cars.

Default CS

CS does not mean anything. It is just the trim and interior style. It does not dictate engine type, transmission type or turbo or quattro. Contact some parts supplies and they will support this.
