Repairing the cable is likely more trouble than it's worth.
A good used one is another option. What usually happens is the rubber isolator bushings break from the torque of the motor then the cable goes crunch.
So if going used might want to get new bushings.

Did this last year, same side. Remember to fine sand and lube the metal window guide as it will be pitted and rusted.
