Default 2.5L 5 cylinder TDI conversion......

I came across this in a catalog of VW parts. They also have Bentley manuals -the book version- for a lot of older Audi's.

Default Rare motor! Where exactly did you find this...

and is it available now? I've got a slew of friends that currently convert TDi and other diesel rigs into veggie oil burners. We have wanted to collaborate on a 80/90 quattro TDi for some time, but the hurdles of 4cyl in the quattro are a put off. With a 5 cyl TDi the game then changes, a bit pricey, but I'd sell my 200q20v to produce a 90qTDi at this point in time!

Cheers,

Default There was a complete on on eBay for a while back, no bites at $2,500 IIRC.

I'd love that motor in my Cq.

Default it's a place out of Detroit, MI....

Their name is Parts Place Inc., (248)373-2300. They are mainly a VW parts dealer, but they do have a little Audi stuff. They are pretty good to deal with. i've bought VW parts from them for 15 years. They send catalogs out every now and then and I just got this one last week. Send me an email and I will return the photo of that catalog page, you should be able to read the print off it.

Default A diesel quattro would set new sales records...

I have longed to have the best of both my cars in one model.

Yeah I'd take the CQ TDi in place of the ultimate, 80 Avant 2.5TDi

Default Re: can't wait until they bring some of those euro versions over here...

I think I'd be first in line for a new A4 TDI, or an A3 TDI with DSG... that would be soooo cool. For now I have to settle for that diesel in my truck
