Default Question about locking center diff

Hello gents.
I have an 88 audi q90 that needs an engine and trans. I have the diff lock button on the console.
I have done some research, am I correct that the 86-88 five speed with diff lock is a 3.89 final drive ratio? I assume that the 86-88 volkswagen syncros trans with diff lock would be the same ratio?

Also where do I look on the rear diff for the ratio?
Thanks boys,
Cheers
