My gf has a 93 audi 90cs.. Check engine light came on she shut it off and checked the oil now it won't start.. Fuel pump works and has spark. Won't fire up.. Any ideas or fixes.. I have an idea there is something wrong with wiring or with factory security system

Ok it can be alot of things, scan for codes, following the instructions and find out what sensor is popping up a code.

A 93 is OBD1 but you need a 2x2 VAG connector in order to hook it to a modern scanner to pull up codes.
That or you have to do it the hard way with blink codes which can be tricky.
Inside your fuse box will be a black and white connector that is shape keyed, black is for power, white is the data link.

To do the blink codes easily you need this factory connector, good luck finding one though if you did not buy it a long time ago.

OBD 1 to OBD2 connector looks like this.

True in a pinch you can use a paper clip. I happened to find this factory connector in the glove box when I bought my car.
Course since I have a scanner and 2x2 it's not needed anymore.
