Default Is the brake system from a B4 the same as a B5?

Looking at picking up a 2001 A4 1.8 that is in great shape save for the brake system. Mechanic thinks the previous owner used the wrong fluid and messed up the master cylinder and possibly the abs unit.

I have a 1995 90 Quattro 5 speed and 1994 fwd auto available as donor cars. Any chance either or both has the same abs or master cylinder as the a4?

the rear calipers should be the same, dont know about the abs or master. a common upgrade for a master on the b4 is a master cylinder from a 200 i5 20vt
