I have a 1988 90 with the 5-cylinder 10 valve. The car has not had full power for a while. The previous owner sold it to me with the understanding that it was not running properly. I knew that a cylinder was misfiring and went through some possibilities as to why and eventually replaced the injector, fixing the misfire. That improved the power but the car runs terribly. When attempting to accelerate quickly the car will hesitate and shutter. The car also has difficulty revving past 4000 rpms under no load. Interestingly the car runs much better while cold. I replaced the fuel pump and filter, the previous owner most likely got a tank of gas full of sand because the gas tank that I replaced was full of sand which is most likely the reason why the car is running poorly. I'm not sure what I should try next, could the other injectors be partially plugged? Should I get four more injectors and see if that solves it? Just looking for some help in deciding what I should do next.
