Default A/C Problem on an '89 90q20V

Hi Everyone,
I'm just having a bit of trouble with my Air-Con on my '89 90q20V. My car is an Aussie Spec RHD model with the 3 dial type heater controls (see pic below).

Anyway the symptoms are that the compressor just doesn't kick in. The light on the A/C switch comes on, I can hear a relay trip under the dash, and the 1st stage of the thermo fan comes on straight away when I push the A/C button. And, of course, the fuses are OK.

I've had a look at some of the pictures and text in the Bentley, but I'm still a little confused. If I read it right a possible cause could be that the low pressure switch has tripped as the system may have leaked over the years. If that's the case then obviously I need to take it to an expert, but I'd like to do some basic debugging before I do that

The trouble is even with the Bentley I couldn't find that pesky switch.

So,
Does anyone know where the Low Pressure switch is an a RHD '89 90q20V?
If switch checks out, does anyone know of any other (simple) reasons that the A/C compressor wont kick in?
