Default Cam Shaft Timing

Hello,

I have a 12V V6, I'm doing valve seals i have the engine out of the car.
I removed the covers on the engine including valve covers, I removed the cam sprockets to change the cam seals. Does any one know the process to align all the parts back up with the crank and the cam sprockets to the cam shafts.
I would greatly appreciate any input on this problem. I popped one of the cam sprockets off thinking that it would be keyed, I guess I was wrong and know i'm scared to touch any more of the engine, I have rebuilt lots of Audi engines but this is the first 12V V6 I have done.

Thanx Scott...Audiouse
