Cold air intake for 2.3L10v
 

Hello there, started my rally build with a 1988 quattro with the 2.3L 10v.........I am wanting to fab up a better intake to get more air, Has anyone done this yet? Looking for any ideas or pictures. Thanks - Tony

Its not ideal, but ive heard of guys drilling holes at the bottom of their air boxes. Realistically, the OEM intake will be better than any of the aftermarket stuff.

Back in the day, 20v guys would replace the intake pipe/hose that fed from the headlamp area into the airbox with a modified ABS plastic elbow, I think it was a 3x60? It's been a while. I did it to mine, not sure if it really did much. I also eventually found a Jamex air filter housing and made a heat shield for it. Definitely sounded the part, and it worked with any 5cyl B3 upper air filter housing.
