Ok thanks rusty i appreciate it however i recently discovered that only one fan is workin properly tried runnin the car with the fuse removed never over heated noticed right fan was workin properly but wit fuse inserted still runs with car off

I don't know about the A8..sounds like the fan running with the engine off is an after-run relay or control unit issue..wiser minds would know.
