Coolant warning light
After a bit of stop and go traffic, I get the coolant warning light and 3 beeps. But after driving without stops for a little while it might go off. After stoping I took off the cap for the coolant expansion tank, there was quite a bit of pressure when I took it off and the water inside was steaming.
The coolant temp guage also seems to be intermittant.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Re: Coolant warning light
I would guess - low coolant level(check it when car is cold) or bad fan/thermometer combo switch. If the coolang guage is not "normal" - suspect the thermo switch i mentioned. Get a new one.

Re: Coolant warning light
Check the coolant level, there is a sensor for that which will give the temp warning wich measures the level of the expansion tank. I had that problem before even when the coolant leval and temp were fine. It is normal for there to be pressure and steam at operating temps. If your dash gauge is reading acceptable temps. check the tank senser.
good luck.
good luck.
