CQ: Auxillary Oil Temp. gauge is not fully functional...
would it be the gauge or the oil temp. sender? Easy to replace either one? With the engine off, the oil temp gauge goes to the far left (below 60 degrees). After driving for an hour, the gauge goes to the first tick mark (~90 degrees). The first bold line is around 120-130 degress which is what I expect the oil temp to be at. Anyone else have this problem and how to correct it? Or should I just ignore it until my dash light comes up with a warning?

Likely the sender.
Very easy to replace. I philips head screw in the bottom of the oil pump holds the wire on the sender. Sender unscrews with a 17mm (I think) wrench.

I typically run the same.... only get to 120/130 when the car is reallllly hot
and by really hot, I mean hot enough that the coolant gauge is up around 115c. I do find that if I'm on the highway on a hot day moving quickly, the engine oil temps get up there..... but typically, i'm around the 90 mark.
Could just be the location of the sensor, the oil has a chance to cool slightly before it passes the sensor.
