Cutting shifter question again?? How do I bring that boot....
 

down if cut about an inch from the top? The boot seems to be stuck up by the neck and can't seem to push it down. Is there a way to do that? Maybe the diameter of the stick get wider as it goes down.

Any thoughts of suggestions???????

Howdy! Pull the console out again. Push the boot through the console or remove. There is a plastic spacer that holds the boot up to knob. Measure how much you cut off the shifter, then cut this spacer that much. Be careful not to cut too much, cut slightly less that wheat you cut for the shifter, then you may have to do a bit of trial and error with fitment, filing slowly to the proper height.
