Do I have and Oxygen sensor problem?
I have a 1995 Audi 90 with 150K miles on it. It runs smooth and strong. Over the past month I have noticed strong exhaust smell. The exhaust smells to me like a rich gas mixture, however with the cat converter, I am not sure what it could be masking. The car uses a little oil (about 1/2 quart every 3000 miles). I have had the car only for the past 10,000 miles and have no service records that show O2 sensors being replaced before. Does anyone have some advice?

O2's should be replaced every 60,000 miles....
according to Audi...
Take a look-see at your O2's, see how aged they look? They can be tested. Or take the plunge, get a new set, then you'll know for certain. ;O) Maybe, consider your cat-converters might be bad? |
AFAIK the Autozone deal still works... ;o)

It didn't work for me in November. Probably since they didn't have any in stock....
in the entire chain. At least that's what they told me when I tried to claim my $70 O2 sensors.

MikTip and I have recommended them and folks have ordered them since then...
