Default Have shop manuals if anyone needs any help with anything

Hey guys, been a lurker and haven't posted much...

I have the factory shop manuals

Thanks! Coming from the 944 world, the shop manuals are fairly readily available, but I don't know if they are for this community. I am fortunate to have the set (Came with the car from my father) so I want to make sure that people can have questions answered if they have any!

Can you help me out in identifying what is the sliver thing that is by the back of the trans? Mine has a leak on it and don't even know what part it is.

The manual labels it as a shift rod and it does have an oil seal. Don't have a part number tho.

Ok Thank you! I have to find it soon, its slowly leaking. Does it have anything on repair for it?

Just remove and replace. It says the seal should recess 1mm.

Do you have anything on the rear axles, Like how to remove them and parts they have connecting them to the rear diff?
