Help! No Air...

Help! No Air...
Car is Audi 5000, non turbo, '86.
No matter what position the AC (Auto, Econ or defrost) is put on there is no air comming out from any of the vents. When driving on the highway, there is some air comming out but it is related to the high speed i guess. If the AC is on, the air that comes out is cold. If the car is not moving - no air blowing at all.
2 months ago, air was blowing ONLY from the top vents but then it stopped for no reason.
Please help and suggest what could be the reasons for this problem. Any relays, bad wires, connections, fuses to check and replace....
It is getting cold and in the morning and windows get very foggy when there is no air blowing at all. Hard to drive. How to fix all this?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Help! No Air...
check the vacuum supply out under the hood, the storage tank, and the feed line coming into the car on the right side under the dash.sounds like a vacuum leak or bad programmer.when you start the car do you hear a hissing noise?also make sure vacuum check valve is also good

Re: There is no noise that resembles a fan...
if you have no blower, that's a different issue.i was under the impression the blower worked.first check the fuses.if the fuses are good, remove the plastic cover under the hood near the windsheild, check for power/ground at the blower motor[plug is on left side of blower case]

Re: Help! No Air...
I had the same car and the same problem (a gift from my parents). It was more like a cruel joke!!! Before they gave the car to me they spent THOUSANDS trying to get the AC to work. They even replaced the entier AC System (and I mean everything). It still didn't work. All and all I think the 86 5000 was Just a bad car.
Good Luck
