Hey Guy's, I need some advice concerning Force 5 Auto in NH.

So I picked up my spare motor yesterday from Chris at Force 5 Auto in NH. Chris and I talked for a bit, and he seems to be a pretty good guy. I told him about my project when I first called him and said that I needed a motor that I could swap into my Cab for the summer. So long story short he had one and for the right price, so I rode up to NH yesterday and picked it up. At first glance the motor looked excellent, it seemed to have been sitting somewhere inside for while but overall it was in good condition.
Now here is where my mistake came into play, I didn't have the motor turned over from the crank b4 I took it (yes I know very well that this should have been the first thing I should have done, but this is neither here nor there.) So I get the motor back to the shop yesterday put it on the stand and left (first nice day in Mass in like a month). So I came in today to do a little prep work and this is where I found the motor not turning over. I tried to turn it with a normal amount of force to get the crank to turn over, but it wasn't budging. So I removed the heads, and what do I find, two scored pistons from where the valves hit them.
Now my question to you all, does anyone have any personal experience with Force 5 Auto, all my searches on the forum came back that they were pretty good guys. Does this seem to be a mistake, or am I getting hosed. I just don't want to be stuck with a bad motor the week I take off of work to rebuild my car, this will set my project back weeks.

You should delete this post and work things over with Chris before bringing this to a public forum.
I've learned on this forum the general public here does not like airing of dirty laundry.
Although I'm sure Chris did not know this motor was bad, this type of situation is why I suggest Shokan for expensive parts. They run test every part, and give you a 6 month warranty.

I totally agree with Emre, you should have called Chris before even thinking of writing this post.
If I were you I would delete this post and give him a call. You are right on thinking the engine is damaged and I am sure he will agree with you on that and work something out. I hope it works out good for you, keep the forum posted. I look forward to seeing more update posts on your project;-)

was the TB broken when you recieved the motor?
That damage isn't that serious. It looks like that at some point the TB broke, but has been driven since. I only have had one experiance with him, when he purchased a mirror from me recently, the transaction when fine. Give him a chance to rectify the situation.
