Default It was not my intention to

To bash or say anything negatively about Chris and Force 5 Auto, i was actually very surprised to find that this engine was in this condition. I just wanted to get a feel for what kind of company I was doing business with.

Default But

How is that possible, i couldn't even turn over the crank while the motor was in it's assembled state. If it had been running then wouldn't the motor have turned over by hand?

Though sometimes pricey I think Chris is a good guy. Just talk to him about it.

Default What effect does a scored piston have on the

internal combustion process, does this decrease compression of the cylinder or cause any other negative effects?

Default I agree with Mike. That looks like old damage. Was....

the valve timing correct before you removed the heads?

Default I couldn't get the crank to manualy turn over to TDC

so I could insert the holder tools and check the timing, it felt as is the valve was coming into contact with the piston.

Wouldn't move at all in either direction, or just wouldn't turn far enough to line up the marks?
