Default How much fuel leakage should I expect from changing the fuel filter on the 90Q?

This is the 20v 90 with the filter under the car next to the fuel pump. I've done these on a 12v (100) where the filter is in the engine bay and very little leaks out. How much should i expect when the filter is under the car 10v/20v style?

I searched the forum and came up with nothing.

Default Depends on how much pressure you remove before opening it....

some people suggest pulling the fuel pump relay and running the car until it dies to empty the line.

When I did mine I just let it sit overnight and opened it up with a pan underneath. I'd estimate I lost a cup of fuel.

Default Feels great on the armpits....

Mine still had plenty of pressure in the system after dying due to a completely clogged filter and sitting for a couple days. I don't know if it had built pressure due to temperature or just enough due to gravity, but my one arm pit was red for a couple days due to the fuel running down my arm. I now do fuel filters every ~2 years.

Default I just removed it. Quite a bit of fuel came out too. The whole tank didn't drain or anything though

and that's what I was worried about. The only problem is that two bolts holding the bracket where the fuel filter and fuel pump are hooked to broke. So I'm in the midst of fixing that right now. Rust sucks;-( I'm not sure how bad/old the filter was but I could blow through it jst fine. Too bad I didn't have a lighter at the other end, the mist would have given off a good fire plume;-)
