I'd value any advice on the fastenings used to hold the interior door panel on. I've located the obvious ones in door release handle etc but I'm guessing the 6mm holes in the arm rest and window switch assemble underside also lead to fasteners. Proding inside with cross head screw drivers and Alan keys has not yet located any head to lock into and turn. Any tips will be great. Clearly the previous owner of the car gave up as so far all the attachments I can see no longer have screws in them !!

USA models have a cover on the bottom of the pull handle that is notched with tabs..the Euro car works a little differently as in the video..which I suspect you are working on a Euro car. We did not get an Audi 80 Cabriolet in the USA..Just a "Audi Cabriolet".

The panel, once all the fasteners are removed, pulls straight up and releases off notches in the door and panel. Don't try and jerk it out...it goes up and off.
