i just recieved a new front wheel bearing from autohaus, the 2 inner sleeves are different
is it normal that one sleeve is thicker on the inside than the other?
I have no hubs to compare it to if hub shaft thickenss is different to correct orientation. |
yea, the bearings are of the "Stepped" kind, so by the sounds of it you have the correct parts.
Ditto.
Picky?

so what's that from? ... looks like B4
p/n on the box is for a B3, pics on autohaus are too small to compare to
but innner sleeves have different thickness
it doesn't look like a 82mm bearing, have to go measure it later. |
my "stepped" bearing is 75mm, what the hell does that mean
Maybe previous owner....
installed newer hub assemblies?
B4 is 82mm bearing, my car should have 75mm, new bearing is 75mm
perhaps FWD B3 doesn't have stepped hub, quattro might, they have different p/ns and results
