Instrument Cluster Needle Hanging

Instrument Cluster Needle Hanging
Hi Guys,
First post here for me!
I have a '97 Cabriolet!
I recently tried to change the Instrument lights to LED lights but the connection was too poor and the lighting would come and go.
Opened up the back of the gauge cluster to see if I could tighten the connection from the inside or maybe solder the connection but didn't have the courage to do so.
So decided to simply put in 3 'normal' replacement light.
Today I realized the middle gauge (Oil pressure) is hanging.
When starting the car the gauge goes to halfway then 'sticks'
If I tap the gauge the needle jumps to the right of the scale and operated normally (Pressure drop when in neutral, pressure rising when accelerating etc)
When shutting down the engine the gauge sticks halfway again. Another nudge on the gauge drops the needle back to zero.
Any ideas what I have done to cause this? I was thinking maybe I tightened the small screws holding the circuit board backing of the gauges too much.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I think you have a bad oil pressure gauge...probably just old..I don't think you broke it. Double check those nuts on the back as they do compete a circuit..but I don't think that is your problem.
The part number for the gauge trio is 8A1919214C..available on the Bay or I have a set you are welcome to..the wood trim is blond..and can be swapped out if you have walnut wood trim.
Very unusual to have those gauges in a Cabriolet..most were not sold in the USA with those. I did add them to my 98 Cabriolet..very nice.
