MikTip, back to fan problem....
Yesterday I noticed that everything was normal when I started the car, then this morning fans were working again as soon as I started the engine.
Lokated item #21 but doesn't want to disconect. Is it pluged in or must be unscrewed?
Thanks

Re: Item #21
According to the online parts source, item #21, is the A/C high pressure switch. It will complete a curcuit, when closed, at a certain pressure(135psi?) to allow the rad fan to come on, reducing the temp of the freon, thus reducing a/c compressor head pressure. Its an electrical switch, and normally has a connector somewhere within a few inches of the switch. Trace the switches wires back from the switch to find where & how its connected, and how to possibly disconnect it. Often the connectors have some sort of locking tab on them as well.

Re: Disconected Item #21....
fans still working at full speed. Removed relay #2 and positive results. Removed relay #3 - fans stop working when starting the engine. I am assuming that #3 is causing all this troublems. Am I correct?

Re: Disconected Item #21....
Sorry for the confusion. When removed relay #2 in the fuse box it did't stop fans from working. Removed #3 and fans stop working. Please let me know if I am on the right track.

Re: What's relays got to do with the high pressure switch?
I did, but it didn't make any difference. Than I checked the fuse box and those are the results I had after testing the relays.

Re: "Highly" recommend you get ahold of the wiring diagrams for your model of Audi!
Pulling relays is not a good move, as you could disable the fan completly, and your engine will overheat!
Wiring diagrams are "needed" to fully troubleshoot & repair. Unless you feel like changing every component in an attempt to fix?
The previous problems I listed are the more "common" ones associated with the rad fan.
You should get it fixed ASAP, because the rad fan is not something you want to "play-around with" because it could cost you an engine.
If you do not have experience trouble-shooting Audi electrical problems, Take it to a shop, get it fixed.
