For Oil leaks on a 12 v 2.8L V6 engine, some info please:
My 1993 90CS has oil leaks which I understand are usual for this car.
It has 80,000 miles. I am going to try to fix the leaks. They are: a) head gaskets leak b) valve cover gaskets leak c) Oil pan gaskets leak Once these are fixed with new gaskets will they start leaking again? After how many miles? |
Re: the back of the intake manifold leaks on almost every V6 i've seen..
|
What does it leak -oil?-and what is the gasket called to replace it?
|
The head gaskets will once again leak oil in 20K to 30K miles, because the headbolts stretch/loosen.

heeheehee :-)

What about the rear-main seal? (between engine and transmission) ? Apparently mine has a tiny leak.
Is this a very big job to fix?

Then the flywheel/flexplate to be removed. |
Re: Yeah..leaks oil...get an intake manifold gasket set and you'll be all set.

Re: liz'z wont! :o) She has a set of RaceWare'z! ;o)
Is RaceWare a manufacturer that makes aftermarket gaskets? Are they better than the stock gaskets?
Where can I find them? |
