Question for dimeadip, Cialowicz, Audi_kid_BC, or anyone else with a trunk mounted CD changer
I'm looking at getting a CD changer, and saw a couple of posts from you guys earlier mentioning you had changes in your trunk or under the dash.
I was wondeirng if you had any photos of how you mounted the changer ? Ideally I'd like to mount it so I can use the ski bag and keep as much boot space as possible. Is it possible to mount it on top of the rear parcel shelf, or would it get too hot ? Under the dash sounds like an idea, but with a 3" thick box I think it woudl require cutting a chunk out of the shelf. Any tips wold be greatly appreciated. |
Mount under rear deck.

Hey, you still owe me a piece of tacky Canadian crap, or at least a photo of the changer mount

I'd keep it in the trunk so no prying eyes can see it. |

Hefty looking brackets - custom ?
Hmm, your fuel tank isn't behind your back seats.

Not on that car...
The rear seats actually fold down in 93+ 90s.

Nope - Came with the Sony changer - they're plastic
One of the nicest changes from my '91 80 to my '95 90S - besides the V6 - was the usable trunk. The B4 not only has a flat bottom trunk, it's about 30% larger.
