REAR DIFF STUCK? HELP PLEASE
Hey guys,
So i think my rear diff is stuck. Drivers rear tire is dragging horribly especially when I turn at low speeds (reversing + turning is when its the worst). I dont hear any noise when pressing the rear diff lock button (only button lights up). Any suggestions?

Did you check the brakes to see if caliper is stuck? Or the e-brake is stuck?
When I had a stuck caliper on a Jeep Grand Cherokee, I could smell smoke from the brake pads. It was also hot when checked it with my laser temp probe.

You're going to break something if you don't resolve this before driving it on dry pavement. Enormous forces the components are dealing with - way more than designed. Where are you - perhaps someone in the area can help.

Update
So i finally got under the car last night. The diff actuator is stuck. When pressing the diff button, light is orange and i can clearly hear the diff module activating the relay but not moving the actuator. Upon further research i found out the actuator opens/closes by a vacuum created from the intake manifold.
And what do you know..The plastic hose at the "T' from the intake manifold has been sheered off. I think this is where my problem is - no vacuum. Could someone post a picture of where the hoses from the 'T' run/connect to? I think something may be missing here. I can get pictures late today one i get home if needed.
Or the other scenario could be that the "no return check valve" for the vacuum, under the rear seat has gone to crap. Either way, i think i will focus on the sheared line first. Pictures of the engine bay would be much appreciated.
Oh and by the way - i am located in Wisconsin.
Thanks for all the feedback so far guys. I hope to get this fixed soon before the weather turns chilly out here.
