Default repost... would jumpering the pins of a dead fuel pump relay get the fuel pump running?

my car is stuck a LONG ways from home and if that'll fix it so I can drive home, I'm saved a TON of money in towing.

Default If its just the relay I doubt it. But I have something that might work for you

Turn the key but not far enough to start the car. Just to the on position. Count to 3 turn the key back to off. Repeat this 5-7 times then try to start the car. It should work, if it doesnt work the first time try again. Basically if the relay is shot it will probably work but who knows for how long. For instance it worked on a car I had but the car shut off a half a block later. Then when we went to have it fixed we had to push the car to the garage. So we started the car and figured we would get a block before we had to start pushing with a truck to the garage, but oddly enough we made it all the way to the garage which was about 30 minutes away.

Default better to replace the whole pump unless you plan on doing the job twice.

But maybe you are getting ride of the car or maybe you are getting the relay extreamly cheap. Its your call. Just doing both will save you some time in the futur.

Default i just wanna get home, where I can work on it better.

If I can fool the pump into running for an hour or two, then I'm golden. I'll try the key thing first though.
As to replacing stuff... I'll yank anything bad and put in new (as soon as its home). I cant be driving my fiance's car around the state too many times. Its clear on the other side of MI from me.
