UrS4's Tower bar "My opinion" for qpilot.
Is this bar worth $260? I can't answer that question, I don't know how much these things go for. However, I would pay that price again if I needed another one.
First the installation wasn't too tough. It took a few minutes to drill four holes then tap them. Tapping is not tough for anyone out there worried about this part. I actually taped it with a wrench even though I have a tap kit down stairs. So now the bar is installed. Let me just say the nuts at the end of the bar do not need to be over tightened. Id say tighten them a half of a turn after hand tighten the bolts.
I kept the bar right at neutral for about 30 minutes of driving. Then I parked and hand tightened the bar as tight as I could get it with my hands. After that I also did a half of a turn with the wrench. This is as far as I went considering I don't have a track to actually test this bar out. I took all the same roads for another 30 minutes of driving. The bar actually made the driving feel a lot tighter and that was with a mild adjustment on the bar. I would rate this about as good as a spring upgrade. The turns where tighter and I probably lost 50% of my under steer. I hope when I go to the track I loose at least another 30% of under steer.
I found this bar to be worth the price for me. It made the car feel a whole lot tighter and has reduced under steer. Keep in mind I drive a FWD and this will differ for you Quattro readers.
