So I was driving yesterday and raced against an old 5.0 mustang ( and yes the Audi won, I couldn't believe it too but that's the truth) but then when I released the gas pedal, in 3rd at 5.5k, I heard a strange sound coming rom the front, I pushed on gas and it stopped, with the sound, there was a vibration too and it sounded like a metal on metal sound. Any thought???

I was thinking maybe the engine's supports.

sounds kinda like a chainsaw sound? There's an air redirector metal sleeve looking thing just past the downpipe. The metal attachment broke on it so now it occasionally makes a chainsaw like sound at 3000.
