Default What does this orange connector do?

I assume it is for the oil pressure and temp senders. If i have this plug, does that mean i have senders installed?

My car did not come with extra gauges, thus this connector was hooked to nothing. I assume that they would not put a connector in the dash that hooked to nothing.

The black plug is the sender connector for the wiring harness for the gauges. Notice the same color wires.

That's for the flux capacitor. It turns your car into a time machine, when hooked up.

Default Step into the time machine...

Waste no more energy
No more time
Step into the time machine
Aboard this flight
Time to go
It's sad that you're not here
To open up your eyes and....
watch me dissapear

Carried away
Imaginations are running wild

Losing control
I'm landing back this year
Did I ever move?
Did I dissapear?
If I could move through time
I'd go back and put it right

Default have you checked...

to see if there is continuity between the connectors? It may be a case of the orange one plugs into the guage cluster and the black one plugs into another harness that would go to the senders in the engine bay (this harness obviously wouldn't be in your car).

My car didn't have the orange plug but it did have the oil temp sender!?! Yours probably doesn't have the oil pressure sender, but check for the temp sender!

Default The orange one definetely does not plug into the gauges...

i have gauges from a coupe quattro, so the sender connector may be different. this orange plug goes into my dash... very deep into my dash... i can't find the end of it, my arm is not long enough.

Default closed circuit

continuity between two points, in electrical terms, means that electricity can flow between the two points... "connected."

Default Could be power for the lites in the gauges or...

it could just provide juice to the gauges. I could check my wiring schematics for this plug and let you know. What car is this for?
