Default If the timing belt/H2O pump/tensioner pulley/idler pully haven't been done recently...

...it's not too much more work to do while you're in there.

Default Oh the horror...

Whoever owned my car prior to me had the water pump go out on them (coolant reminants on the front of the engine/oilpan/etc), so they had some shop (who used SAE tools) change the water pump and timing belt.

The thermostat, idler pulley and tensioner pulley (what you see in pieces) were not replaced. This happened less than a week after I purchased the car...

Luckily no damage was done to the engine...the rest of the pulleys seemed to keep enough tension on the belt...
