Nice work..

What discs are you running? I'm trying to decide between the 312's or 323's

Want to make me some rear caliper brackets?

dtompsett 05-18-2008 06:48 AM

jealous.

90/90Qs 05-18-2008 07:08 AM

323 on the front

-I'm not sure if this is a common issue or what, but I had to grind about a millimeter off both of the front ball joint castings so the rotors wouldn't rub. Seems fine, but I've never heard anyone mention this before so I thought it was a bit odd..

I had brackets machined for the rear that allow me to use 288mm A6 rotors. -$50 ea. at FLAPS, and they fit absolutely perfectly :)-b

QuattrosauruS4 05-18-2008 09:05 AM

Couple questions

What length of line did you use for the fronts? and where did you get it?

Anychance you could have a set of those rear brackets made for me, if so how much?

Thanks,

looks great

take good notes. I'm following in these footsteps.

Are you in MI as well?

just noticed your Red Wings logo :D-b.

90/90Qs 05-21-2008 10:23 AM

I got the lines with a G60 upgrade I did a while back

I bought them on Audifans, so I can't source them. -I can measure them if you want though.

As far as the brackets go, they are still my baby if you can understand. I'm not quite ready to let em go.
Once I confirm the choice of materials works etc. then I'll let you know. Should be a few weeks to a month.
Aside from the lack of an E-brake, They should make a very nice cost effective brake upgrade.

I'm going to eventually start looking into an e-brake solution, and I have a few ideas in mind already so that should be up-n-coming.

Looks good.

I am on phase 2 of my coupe...upgrades! 55lb injectors, K26/T04E Hybrid Turbo, RS2 manifold....NEW PAINT as well....when you have all the crap out is a good time for a deep clean.
yes!!! looks sick

Hey!.....

Ok is there a thread on here about those posch brake calipers and how to put them on my 90Q?

Would be interesting... how do you like them?

90/90Qs 05-25-2008 05:54 PM

what kind of numbers are you aiming for?

I'll be interested to compare, we're pretty darn close in setup. Seems the only real difference is the turbo.
The header and exhaust may make a difference, but I don't think it'd be that much.

Nice looking project! -and despite what some say, I love that pearl paint :D-b.

Re: Hey!.....

<a href="http://forums.fourtitude.com/zerothread?id=1315513">Front brake write up</a>
-The rear (adapters) are custom, see my post below.
As far as how I like them, I don't know; it's been over a year since I've had the car on the ground.
I still have to wire the engine, plumb the intercooler, put the interior back in, work out the cooling system, plumb the transmission, install drive shafts, some minor exhaust tweaks, and finally do a B4 front end conversion to fit the RS2 bumper.
Then (assuming it starts) it'll be rolling, I'll still need to install a/f and boost gauges then paint, make grilles for the bumper, get some headlights etc. :)...
Still kind of a long way to go, but it'll get there.
