Hi -new to the forum but here's my problem. My 1.6TDi A1 Sport (early 2013) has started to make a strange constant tone whine. It's not always notiecable but when it is, it seems to be a nearly pure tone, that doesn't change with engine speed or road speed. When turning a corner the tone dips momentarily and reverts to its normal note so I'm assuming it's something to do with the power steering - the pump?
Thoughts? Should I get it seen to immediately or is it OK to drive for a while?
