spring noise when turning
 

on my wifes Audi A1 the front near side spring coil has started to make a "boing" kind of noise when turning the steering wheel

Can anyone please suggest the issue and have any ideas of repair cost

This is due to a worn strut bearing plate or one that need some grease, replacement needed. I recommend a strut bearing plate replacement and it replacement cost around $150 but I am not fully confirmed.
