UK: 67 plate Audi A1 s line black edition

Wonder if anyone can help, i am getting conflicting advice on there live chat with tech support they say i can get CarPlay through the ami cable in the glove box but talking to guys at the dealership they are saying this is not possible as I don’t have car play on the display
is there any chance i can get this onto the MMI system ?
