"S" Mode

"S" Mode
So I just got back into the office and tried "S" mode for the first time. I only had my A3 for 1 week so far and I totally forgot all about "S" mode.
And I must say, it is SOOOOOO different then regular drive, which I am sure you all know. Much quicker pick-up and force.
But I was wondering, how often do you all drive in "S" mode? Do you all get into your A3's and go right for "S" mode?
I tryed it without using paddles and still was ALOT of fun.
Also, is this safe for an A3 that I had for only 1 week and I only have 400 miles on it?

S at the track which shouldn't count.
Manual, I use both the paddles and the shifter.
D mode when I'm trying to be mpg conscience, but that is NO fun.

its not an automatic
you may think of it as one <which is incorrect> because it operates as one in certan modes, but in actuality the DSG is an evolved manual gearbox. It is so evolved and good at what it does that it can mimic an automatic from the driver/passenger's perspective. If you look at the "guts" of the gearbox it looks all the world like a manual, nothing like an automatic.
