Hi all. I am having trouble to locate the Coolant temperature sensor on my 2006 Audi A3 3.2l quattro.

Any help/ diy advice will be much appreciated.

It is mounted in the thermostat housing. Look just to the right of the engine (oil filler cap) and down. You should see it.

Thanks located it.

I changed it the filter but the temp gauge still doesn-t move. I have heat in the cabin so the thermostat is working.

Any other ideas? CEL is still on.

any update on this? Friend has a temp guage that does not move but everthing else is fine...

Hi guys I have the same, changed the 2 thermostats and the temp sensor, unlucky there’s no changes I’ve still have the same issue, the temp gauge takes ages to go up, when reaches 4bars then suddenly drops to 3 bars please help
