I have a 2L Audi A3 sportback from 2004 and is the face lift variant. My car had a massive gearbox problem and the bottom mount got destroyed and in the process the gearbox had an internal fault and it's done in the driveshafts. Upon looking at my car the gearbox I have in has a sliding fit drive shaft on the drivers side. No one I have spoken to has ever seen that gearbox in 2L audi's of that age they have only seen the gearbox with both sides have bolted drive shafts. So is it possible to change the gearbox to a bolt on drive shaft set up rather than the gearbox I have in?
