Bulb-out warning system--what lights are covered?
I figured just the headlights, taillights and turn signals. I pulled a tail/brake and turn signal--saw the bulb-out warning displayed. I then tried the DRL's... left side didn't trigger, but right side DID trigger. I found that rather odd. Thoughts?

Nothing after one year.

I'm not talking about dealer replacing bulbs, but the bulb-out warning system.

Haha sorry. I didn't have my coffee yet when I first read it.

Depending on settings in the Central Electric Controller:
License Plate, Brake Lights, Front Fog Lights, Rear Fog Lights, High Beam, Turn Signals, Back-up Lights, Side Turn Signals, Low Beam, Front Parking Lights, Rear Parking Lights.

If you have the default settings (no VAG-COM changes) then I assume what you've listed is it. But
you didn't mention the DRL lights. Are they supposed to be connected to the Front Parking Light circuit? Or I wonder if Audi didn't program a distinctive message for the DRL lights.
Still, the odd thing is that when I pull the left side DRL bulb, I don't get a warning--only when I pull the right side. The point is that I was planning to put LED bulbs in place of the DRL's. LED bulb insert on the left side is fine; right side still shows a bulb out even with the LED bulb installed. Really weird. |
The list is from openobd.org -- they may not have up-to-date bit assignments.

OK, thanks.
