Buying A3 with roof rails. Looking for photos of black rails and silver rails with open sky.

I want to compare the two setups. Getting daughter a Brilliant Red with open sky. Want to get roof rails and planning on silver but wondered if that would look weird with the black sun roof. Would black rails look better? Also can dealer install these if they have exactly what I want on the lot except the roof rails? That would save ordering one.

I don't believe dealers can install rails due to the liability/warranty implications of drilling through your roof. I've read several times on various forums that that's a factory-installed option only. Lucky daughter - enjoy!

check my sig for the aluminum (silver) ones. personally, for a red car, i'd get the black ones...

along with the titanium package with black-out grill, black headliner and titanium RS4 wheels....that combo (RED/BLACK) is simply gorgeous and BRILLIANT!!!!

the roof rails are option for BTO cars and cannot be retrofitted "officially", that is, the dealers would not do it. however, someone had done a retrofit successfully but it costed way more than the original option cost.
