I have heard reports that it WILL have the latest version WITH PreX. If this is true it will be a tremendous improvement over the system currently in use in the TT and R32.

Default Not confirmed. Haldex is selling it as an off-roading technology

hoping to expand into the lucrative truck market. I think Volvo's XC90 is the only one to offer it thus far?

"Examples of new developments now in progress: Haldex electronically controlled differential, XWD TM, -an intelligent differential lock-. The new technique, integrated in the Haldex AWD system, is expected to result in extremely good off-road characteristics. In combination with the vehicle stabilizing system, the XWD TM is expected to also further improve a vehicleâ€TMs performance in different driving situations. The Haldex electro-hydraulic AWD system makes it possible to introduce a Precharge function, PreX TM. This is primarily intended for off-road vehicles, and activates the coupling from a stillstand without having to wait for wind-up in normal driving situations. In order to better exploit potential synergies between various electronically controlled systems and to optimize the software structure in the vehicle, Haldex has been chosen as a partner by a car manufacturer to jointly develop the software strategy for next-generation AWD vehicles. "

From a Haldex press release<ul><li><a href="http://www.haldex-traction.com/technical_information/performance_info/torque_transfer_characteristics.htm#">for those not familiar with PreX</a></li></ul>

Default Since Quattro is available now on the A3 in the rest of the world...

it's probably the same one as used on the TT and R32.
