Default Can Cruise Control be Retro Fitted?

Collecting my S3 tomorrow and just been told that it doesn't have cruise control as requested!

No time to fit it in Holland but when I asked Aston Green slough about retro-fitting they said it was a nightmare and wouldn't recommend it.

Anyone have expereince of retro-fitting?

Ta

Your completely within your rights to refuse the car as it is not what you ordered, I'm sure if they were made aware of this they'd get it sorted pretty damn quick!

Default Yeah, but...

Dutch dealer have offered to fit it but I am now so bored of racing 1.4 astras in my diesel merc that I just want the car - CAN'T WAIT ANY LONGER!!!

Peanuts has a good point but I've always found there are two ways of cruising motorwqas at speeds which don't threaten your licence:

1. Set cruise control for 89.9mph;

2. Let the lady drive.

Not too keen on second optiion so cruise control still required...

Default James... forget cruise control...

Its very easy to drive fast on motorway driving without having to balance your foot at half throtle.

Instead of buying cruise control, set the warning tone on the DIS if your worried about getting a speeding ticket. I have set mine to 120mph !!! (It has already bleeped when I was keeping up with a bird in a RS4)

With the money you have saved from the cruise control open an account at your local petrol station. ... you will spend it there no worries.... I am now a regular visitor my local Esso station...DOH!
